What you talk about builds the house you live in. Ever catch yourself saying "Oh, I'm not good at that"?

I've had many clients tell me they can't manage this or that based on having never really tried it. We bust right through those to incredible new places.  How?  Because they are just lies. They are lies that we install as the windows in our house. Through these lies we view the world outside: a limited place of ever decreasing possibility.   It doesn't have to be this way.

Who decides what's possible for you at any given time?  Are 'impossible dreams' just fantasies or are they challenges?  And if they are challenges, what would it take to do something you are yearning to do?

I look at the limits of our beliefs, the barriers of perfectionism and striving and the works of Gay Hendricks (The Big Leap), Michael Neill and Barbara Sher.

What's impossible comes straight from how we think and what we decide.  In this show I explore how to shimmy right over those limits.

Interesting in doing more?  The reading list and suggested practices are here in Ideas and Tips

Robert Holden introduced me to the notion of there being a world of difference between the 'pursuit of happiness' and 'following your joy'. In the show I talk about Robert's work, the purpose of happiness, limits we place on our happiness and how and why we learned to be unhappy.  I read from Michael Neill's Feel Happy Now, and Barry Neil Kaufmans' To Love is To Be Happy With'.

Suggested exercise for this week:  Take your happiness temperature.  How happy are you on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being unreasonably joyous)?  Find a moment or two during the week when you consciously and deliberately raise your Happiness Thermometer just a bit. You don't have to aim for the moon!  And you don't need a reason.   Notice what it takes to do deliberately raise your level.

Want more ways to explore happiness?  Here's a few more exercises to open the mind and heart

If you want to talk more about how to be happier, let me know!
