Aired Live December 17th More than thirty years ago, Lee Coit (yes, that's my Dad!) made a simple but dramatic decision. He decided to devote one year of his life to see if there was such a thing as God or universal principles which could be used to create a happy life. He expected to find nothing and instead he opened the door to a whole new world and new way of living. His investigation lead him deeper and deeper into the uncovering of his own spiritual being. This quest has become his life's work, the subject of three previously released books and his latest book, Awakening.

Aired Live October 29th What does 'living well' mean to you? What makes a good life, and what each of us do to build that, boiled down to simple principles.
Explore the principles behind how we each construct our lives and the simple truths that make the biggest differences. We cover:
How do I get my best ideas?
How do I know what my inner wisdom sounds like? and much more!
This week I speak to long-time Principles teacher Jack Pransky, Ph.D. about using the creative (and spiritual) gifts you've been given. Founder/Director of the Center for Inside-Out Understanding Jack has worked in the field of prevention since 1968. He now specializes in prevention from the inside-out and the health of the helper, providing consultation and training throughout the World.
Aired Live October 22nd Some say the perception of happiness is based on social and environmental factors. Others say one’s thinking ultimately dictates his or her sense of happiness. But what about genetics? Could we be biologically wired for happiness?
Inventor, engineer and author James D. Baird, Ph.D. has researched the subject of happiness for more than twenty years. From his research evolved the idea that humans have a spiritual nature and that faith is genetic. In his book Happiness Genes: Unlock the Positive Potential In Your DNA, Baird and co-author Laurie Nadel illustrate how the expression of spirituality is genetically motivated, resulting in natural happiness.
We are all looking for the magic bullet, THE formula that will finally lead us to everything we desire in life: great relationships, a sense of happiness and peace, and a feeling that we are living fully and alive. That 'formula' is actually a complete paradigm shift to a new understanding of how it is that we create our experience of the world.
Jamie and I talk about The Three Principles as that paradigm shift and how each of us has a natural state of wellbeing that can never be threatened. Who you are is beyond your thinking. And Happiness, Success and great relationships are the result of this understanding taking root in each of us.
Jamie Smart, one of the world's finest Neuro-Linguistic Programming trainers, and CEO of Salad Ltd focuses on teaching the Three Principles (of Mind, Consciousness and Thought) for understanding the human experience.

Today's show is a replay of one of my two wonderful shows with Robert Holden, Director of the Happiness Project, and author of many books including Be Happy.
The way to find out about happiness could well be to become a gazillionaire and then watch all your problems vaporize. Yunno, why not? And while that's on the way, there's lots you can do to understand what happiness is for you. The show looks at these, in fact there are two archive shows with Robert Holden (on June 5th and July 24th) exploring the 10+ Keys to Happiness.
In addition, here's Robert talking on GMT about why you can rewire those circuits and actually be happy now.
After a journey through India, Lisa Cypers Kamen was astounded by the levels of happiness people attained despite their circumstances; from her journey she has co-created a film called “H-Factor… Where is your heart” with her daughter Kayla.
Lisa hosts Harvesting Happiness workshops around the country. She says happiness is a choice you make every day to elevate yourself and others for the greater good and how it allows us to more fully access our resources. Let's find out.
To find out what else is harvesting with Lisa Cypers Kamen go here.
This week, more very real stuff on how the flow of thoughts sculpts the brain as europsychologist Rick Hanson explains how to use scientific breakthroughs, combined with techniques from ancient contemplative practices to change your brain for greater contentment, lovingkindness, and inner peace.
Plus simple, step-by-step exercises for making the brain and body less susceptible to stress and for calming anxiety.
Robert Holden introduced me to the notion of there being a world of difference between the 'pursuit of happiness' and 'following your joy'. In the show I talk about Robert's work, the purpose of happiness, limits we place on our happiness and how and why we learned to be unhappy. I read from Michael Neill's Feel Happy Now, and Barry Neil Kaufmans' To Love is To Be Happy With'.
Suggested exercise for this week: Take your happiness temperature. How happy are you on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being unreasonably joyous)? Find a moment or two during the week when you consciously and deliberately raise your Happiness Thermometer just a bit. You don't have to aim for the moon! And you don't need a reason. Notice what it takes to do deliberately raise your level.
